The practice has always carried out our own local survey to look at both the quality of care received from the practice and the patients experience when seeing a practitioner. To carry out this work the practice has previously used CFEP UK (Client Focused Evaluation Programme) who work closely with the healthcare sector using dedicated questionnaires. The outcome of previous surveys has been beneficial to the practice, as they have provided an insight into the views of patients, at a practice level. The feedback received has been discussed and any action suggested to improve services has been undertaken where possible.
We continued to use CFEP UK survey for this year, as the practice and PPG decided that this would be a good baseline on which to develop our PPG involvement in the future, having obtained a broad overview of the areas of concern to patients.
Following our recent survey the PPG where able to discuss the summary findings and develop an action plan, working with the practice, to improve these areas of concern. The survey results were also discussed with the practice team (Doctors and staff) to obtain their views and suggestions, this was incoporated with the PPG discussions and action plan.
This is a work in progress and we value patients views, as these help us to continue to review and develop our services to meet patients needs.
