All patients – Please wear a face covering if you visit the GP practice

Face Masks and Exemptions – important information for patients

The practice is following government advice to ask all patient to wear a face covering when attending the surgery. Patients should ONLY come to the practice if they are picking up dispensed medication or have a confirmed appointment – all other issues should be addressed through our e-consult service, online access or telephone.

These measures are to reduce the risk of spreading the virus to other patients who may be attending the surgery for appointments (many of whom will be vulnerable) as well as to staff, in order that we may maintain our services to patients during the pandemic. We understand some patients are contacting the surgery advising that they are exempt from wearing a mask. Where this is the case we are asking patients to wait outside and we will bring medication out to you.

Alternatively, if the patient is coming for an appointment, our clinicians are being asked to request the patient waits outside until their appointment time and can be collected by the clinician to walk through the waiting room without the need to wait there/ sit down. We really appreciate our patients’ understanding of these measures.
